One word. Naughty. Naughty for the things you can do in the large back seat - and naughty for the down-right wrong things you can do with it on the road...like beating up on E46 M3s

Part 1:

Ok, ummm…yes. That’s all I really have to say. This truck is sick. Take a grocery getting X5, cross it with an E60 M5 and that’s basically what we have here. That’s the best way that I can describe this thing – which I think was BMW’s intent, right? Everything from the absolutely exotic exhaust note to the insane rear backup camera – it’s an M inspired fatty-love-child.

The first thing noticed when walking up on the X5 M is its aggressive stance. It has rake, no doubt, and it looks like it’s ready to haul you-know-what in any direction you tell it. Next come the ominously large air-dams towards the bottom of its Jay Leno sized chin.

Then it happens – you hit the Start button which really should read ‘Uh-Oh’.

Here’s the dirt (from RSportscars.com):

Vendor, t-shirts, parts specials...we've been busy!

Yes, yes! It has been a busy time for BimmerSchwag and there has been a lot going on.

A) What’s Crossdrilled Clothing? It’s an automotive enthusiast’s dream-line of clothes – seriously. Why? Because the shirts are wearable! Whether you’re going to a track day or a bite to eat with friends, you’ll fit in anywhere…and will get compliments on the T’s while doing so. Personally, I like wearing them because they’re understated but I can still sport my love for zee-auto. You can’t believe how comfortable they are…American Apparel – enough said.

B) What’s new with our parts site? Check it out for yourself (specifically the BimmerForums Specials section)!

BimmerSchwag.com

C) We are OFFICIALLY a Bimmerforums supporting vendor! This is a big day for me because I’ve been a pretty active member on the site for a long time now and it’s nice to give back to the community that gave me so much fun, entertainment, knowledge and, most of all, friends.

BMW Says: "Build your ultimate Ultimate Driving Machine® with BMW Motorsport parts.*"

Ok…so we all have seen (and drooled over) pictures of the E36 M3 Group A cars…and we’ve all seen replicas of them, both great looking and not so great looking. But now you can actually buy the real thing; it doesn’t stop there. On the official release it shows they’re also making the following available:

2008 Z4
E46 M3
E90 320i S2000

If this isn’t an indicator of where BMW is taking things I don’t know what is. Reading between the lines, it’s pretty obvious that BMW is pushing for a new market (on open terms) with its customers. Considering their relatively new Performance line of products…and now this…I’m excited to see what else BMW has in store for us. Perhaps this move will throw some weight in favor of more different racing applications.

Below are the downloadable PDF files that detail exactly what is available (basically everything).

About Us

FIRST! Hahaha...no, I'm just kidding. Click the link...you know you want to. Do eeeet.

Allow myself to introduce...myself.

First off, welcome to BimmerSchwag – what you see to the right is a picture of me from way back when the 3.0 cs wasn’t exactly considered a classic (can you spot the BMW CCA sticker?). I’m visual, and most people I know are, too…so hopefully the unorthodox introduction will suffice. On that note:

Hey everyone, I’m excited and I have a feeling once you hear about the project that’s underway you’ll be just as excited as me, too. About two months ago an idea sparked up in my head – and I acted on it. But before I go into more detail I want one thing to be clear: we are here for you – the enthusiast and all around car lover.

One thing that has always been clear to me is ‘car guys’ (and girls) in general are a tight knit group. When it comes to me, I don’t care what kind of vehicle we’re talking about but if it has four wheels, makes cool noises, and puts a smile on my face, it moves me (literally and figuratively)…isn’t that what’s it’s all about?

That’s why I put together this blog. In a joint effort between Germain BMW and BimmerSchwag this has become a reality and I couldn’t be happier to see it brought to life.

My vision for the site goes something like this: I want the community to have a resource for all sorts of various information and entertainment. Everything from tech specs to awesome videos. This site shouldn’t be confused with a forum, though – as it’s not intended to be – if anything it’s here to both compliment them and organize the information (all of which is cited directly to the source). Think of it like a collectively assembled comprehensive resource established for your needs and wants. You know all of those golden threads tucked away in the archives that we inevitably search for when we need to do an install or need to find a bit of reliable information? I’m tired of searching Google and multiple forums only to find broken links and outdated posts. I want this to be the solution to that. Yeah, that’s what I hope this can become (with your help)! That’s what I love about our community. We’re always willing to help out another car guy/girl…especially a bimmerphile.

How we’re going to do this: between myself, the community, and a few very knowledgeable friends (a whole shop full of BMW master technicians), the site will start to take form. But here’s the thing – I want your help. I want you to be a part of this. I want this site to ooze BMW and the camaraderie that we all know and love. I’m just one small piece to this blue and white puzzle…

What you can look forward to: Photoshoots, DIYs, Technical Specs (for as many models as possible), part number compilations for projects, BMW related news (that’s worth reading), exclusive prices on parts and many more things (hopefully plenty of your ideas, too)…really a general hub for you guys.

Over the next few weeks there will be TONS of content added. If you’d like to be part of this process, big or small, please feel free to email me anytime – my email address is david@bimmerschwag.com. I frequent a few forums and we all know the talent and wit that is exchanged daily…so I know what this website can be. Excited yet?

-David A

So with this first post lets do it right. We all love pics…so in the name of ‘Pics or Ban’, I give you the pics.

WARNING: BS ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE KEYBOARDS DAMAGED BY DROOL IN THIS LINK!

CLICK AT YOUR OWN RISK!

And finally, one of my favorite commercials.
